That’s why we didn’t just set out to build a pet care company. We set out to create the place we always wished existed for our own animals. Turns out, a lot of pet parents were looking for that, too.
Paws ‘n’ Rec started as a dream between two roommates who believed the pets of Tampa Bay deserved something better.
Taylor and Mike — the founders behind Paws ‘n’ Rec — spent years imagining what truly great pet care could look like. Not just a place to drop your dog off or a facility that simply checks the boxes. But a joyful community where pets (and their parents) are genuinely known, loved, and cared for like family.
In 2020, they made that dream a reality when they took over Paws ‘n’ Rec. What started as a beloved Tampa Bay staple has grown into a multi-state operation with locations across the US, a staff of certified, passionate animal lovers, and a membership community that keeps growing because word travels fast when something is genuinely this good.
Every decision made at Paws ‘n’ Rec comes back to that original belief: pets deserve the best, and so do the people who love them.
